Chess players with a rating of 2400 or higher will be admitted to the Aeroflot Blitz Qualification Tournament. The participants of tournaments A1 and A2, and the top 3 finishers from group B and C are eligible to participate without fee. The Aeroflot Blitz will serve as a qualifying tournament for the World Blitz Championship 2009 (Final) to be staged in Moscow from 15 to 17 Nov.2009. The 2009 World Blitz Final will have 20 players consisting of 10 participants from the 2009 Mikhail Tal Memorial, the top 6 participants of the Aeroflot Blitz Qualification Tournament, plus 4 wild card entries to be named by the Organizers. |
