Troller: Tiger is one of the more unstable GMs. Here he was on top of his game and won convincingly.

Lars Bo Hansen is the contrast, always playing solidly and often achieving a small plus score. Here he delivers "as usual". Not surprisingly, he has been a very valuable team player for the Danish national team on many occasions.

Stellwagen came as the favourite and 6.5 pts is of course fully acceptable, but he probably wouldn't have counted on trailing by a full point with this score before the tournament.

May-07-08  inthestepsofTal: Troller: absolutely. When Tiger is out of form, he can loose to almost anyone, but in form, he can beat anyone. Real class in his game against Agrest from the Swedish champion. He definitely is the most interesting swedish player to watch, compared to for example Ralf Åkesson, whos behaviour is more fun to watch than his games
May-08-08  Knight13: A 2400 took first place. Looks like you don't need explosives to blow up cities sometimes, huh.

wallytherhino: Tiger Hillarp Persson sure is a fierce player. Dare I say it "fierce as a Tiger".
