Mar-13-14  waustad: Thanks cg.
Mar-17-14  waustad: With Tingjie Lei leading on the women's side and Yangyi Yu on the men's, it looks like Chinese chess has some youngsters who need to be watched. That doesn't even include Wei Yi who is 5 years younger on the men's side and already over 2600.
Mar-18-14  JohnBoy: Remarkably low percentage of draws. These guys go for major blood.
Mar-18-14  waustad: Following Chinese chess is harder because it happens in the middle of the night for many of us and the web sites are almost impossible to navigate. Russian sites are very hard for me when they are only in Cyrillic, but I can sound out some names and often they are nice enough to have a "live" link. With Chinese I haven't a clue and they don't seem to even try to cater to an international audience. Perhaps advertising isn't important for their funding so they don't care if foreigners look or not.

HeMateMe: Yifan is right in the middle of the pack, playing on the men's side.

Mar-21-14  waustad: I've been watching them there. chess-results also has some info, just choose CHN. The official site is of no use though for me. With the final round starting early I may even still be up. Both here and on the women's side the champion will be determined on the final day.
Mar-22-14  waustad: Does anybody know what the tiebreaks are? On the women's side, Ju Wenjun came 1/2 ahead of Lei Tingjie and Yang Shen.
Mar-22-14  Karpova: According to http://www.chess-results.com/tnr127... Yifan Hou finished with a 2550 performance.
Mar-22-14  fref: This was a very disputed championship; the wins were pretty evenly distributed (2 to 4 wins for each player)
