ahmadov: A bit surprising that people do not post their comments on this page...
Oct-16-07  Karpova: Great performance by Turkan Mamedyarova so far (she played against higher rated players only but scored +3 =0 -1)

Harvestman: Have a look at the finish to the game between Tiger Hillarp Persson and IM Herman Grooten when it appears in the game list - a spectacular sacrificial finish. White resigns when ahead in material by 2 rooks and a bishop to 3 pawns, but it is mate in 3.

I haven't analysed it to see if white could have done better.

Oct-16-07  joebuck: Yes, fantastic finish by Grooten! Also check out the win by Postny vs Werle. What a fine game!

Harvestman: Thanks for that <Joebuck>. Pretty finish. I didn't see it coming at all.

Excellent news. I am a fan of Safarli.

Everyone here knows that I am both an honorary Azeri and Chinese. :-)

ahmadov: I hope Safarli will win the tournament... To achieve this he has overcome the biggest challenge - to win L'Ami with Black...
