  refutor: this was more than just a world championship...this was a tournament between all the world correspondence champions since the mid 60s. timmerman is the current world correspondence champion, umansky is the champion of champions ;)

He won this prestigious tournament undefeated with 7/8 and an impressive 2 points advantage.

Jan-31-09  Open Defence: I see Berliner still very highly rated in the ICCF, oh to play a game with him...his wierd opening choices and middlegame moves would make for a very interesting game
