chessgames.com: We just got the games in from the Petrosian Memorial. Note that Karen Asrian actually finished with 6/9 as the game Ghaem Maghami-Asrian was decided 0-1 by forfeit.
Mar-19-04  Kandelabr: Ghaem Maghami lost his last game by forfeit, because Iranian Foreign Office had not let him play it (why?!). If Maghami had drawn his game against Asrian, Macieja would have won the tournament.
Oct-07-07  pawnofdoom: Haha. Theres a Tigran Petrosian playing at the Tigran Petrosian memorial...
Oct-09-08  offtherook: How intimidating would that be, to show to play a game at the Petrosian Memorial and see that you have been paired against Tigran Petrosian? Of course, it would have been much better if Petrosian had actually won the tournament.
