May-03-04  Vischer: um RL900 Carlsen is the worlds 2nd youngest GM. Karjakin became GM at age 12.
May-03-04  square dance: <vischer> rl900 is only saying that carlsen is CURRENTLY the youngest gm in the world; i.e. carlsen is younger than karjakin, not that he achieved his last gm norm at a younger age than karjakin.
May-03-04  Vischer: oh. BLAH! I am just posting this because it won't let me say just "oh."; to short apparently.
May-05-04  ruylopez900: <Vischer> True, it can sound confusing, but if you take it at face value then it makes sense.

<sd> Thanks for clearing it up.

Feb-20-12  Penguincw: Congratz to Mamedyarov who won the tourney, 7/9. half a point ahead of TEN (!) people, including (GMs that would be favourites today) Krishnan Sasikiran, Pentala Harikrishna, Magnus Carlsen, Pavel Eljanov and several others.
