chessgames.com: We now have some of the games from the Foxwood open from Connecticut which took place in March. Hikaru Nakamura won with 7.5/9.

PhilFeeley: Why not all the games? Even the tournament site doesn't have them.

refutor: <why not all the games? even the tournament site doesn't have them>

call me crazy, but don't you think the two things go hand in hand?

Jun-14-05  Knight13: Hey! There's only 5 games played by Nakamura recorded here. Why not 9?

Were there people who were rated under 2200?

Jun-14-05  DP12: Theoretically it doesn't matter as long as Naka participates. However organizers have time limitations so only games that are easily readable, fairly short, or very important get included.

Its because they really didn't happen like http://chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp...

roni.chessman: Why does chessgames register Nakamura's rating at 2752!??! Is this blitz or rapid or something?

iron maiden: It's his national USCF rating, not FIDE. It should probably be fixed.

roni.chessman: Kasparov should live in the US and get one too! :D then he'll probably hit 3200 USCF

yoozum: Any idea how many points Naka picked up here?

iron maiden: 7/8 (plus a bye) against this kind of opposition is probably worth 15 or 20 FIDE points. But apparently he won't be getting them for the July list.
Jun-15-05  MrSifter: <roni.chessman> Kasparov would probably be around 3050. (no joke)

  zabbura2002: I don't see any Qh5 in any Nakamura's games!

iron maiden: This tournament was played back in March, before his infamous Qh5 against Sasikiran.

VishyFan: This tournament was indeed played in March, but I wonder if this is a rapid (or something of that sort) tournament coz this tournament doesn't figure in the rating lists!

Dick Brain: <VishyFan> It's a rated tournament, I'm sure. He'll get those points eventually.
