| Aug-16-05 | | PinkPanther: A sad result to this match. Grischuk's play should have gotten him a better result in the end. Oh well. |
| Aug-16-05 | | mandar: Now the competitors for anand in rapid must Topalov or leko or Naka(forgive if any required name is not written) |
| Aug-16-05 | | supertimchan: His only competitor is Kasparov. Kasparov has positive scores against Anand in any time limit chess. So Kasparov is the world rapid champion. |

 | | OneArmedScissor: Grischuk still held his own against Anand. |
Aug-16-05
 | | Sneaky: Really, he was "one good move" from securing a tie with #1 rated Anand, that's nothing to be ashamed of. |
Aug-16-05
 | | acirce: Well, he was never in a position to secure a tie, since he was so far behind from the beginning (0.5-3.5, 2-5). |

 | | percyblakeney: Anand wouldn't normally let Grischuk win this easily with black if it still had been close: Anand vs Grischuk, 2005 |
| Aug-16-05 | | PinkPanther: Well, that's what Anand gets for trying to play for a draw. |
Aug-16-05
 | | Robin01: Anand just tried something different and it did not work out. I do not think he was worried about it since he had the match already won. |
| Aug-16-05 | | PinkPanther: <Robin01>
No, in an interview he gave he basically said that game was a feeble attempt to draw. |
| Aug-18-05 | | JoeyCJK: The match seemed a bit disappointing to me. Anand took such a big early lead that both of them knew the final result was a foregone conclusion. It feels like both of them lost interest in the match subsequently. Anand would normally not lose so easily, and Grischuk even went on to play simultaneously in the Open Rapid event. |

| Feb-18-06 | | Aseem: I dont understand, why does Grishuk play Najdorf against the second best najdorf player in a rapid match that too. Its just a waste, only Kasparov can play Najdorf against Anand. Rest all players if you check Ponomariov, Kramnik and Gelfand have failed against anand in a Najdorf. If a player is a sicilian specialist then you can play other variations when againsty Anand, like Richter Rauzer, Schvesnikov, Taimov, Klashnikov. Apart from being a great sicilian killer, Anand is the fastest player on the plant who can calculate almost instantaneously. So placing him in the whits said of the Najdorf he feels like a fish in water. Therefore Grishuk should have surprised Anand with another varation |
