suenteus po 147: <Karpova> It begs the question, then, why he was invited to the C Group and not the B Group?
Jan-28-07  Karpova: <suenteus po 147>
There has always been a strong player in Group C:

2006: Suat Atalik with an Elo of 2618 at that time
2005: Alekseev (2605) and Korotylev (2603)
2004: Pavasovic (2615) (and Magnus Carlsen though rated 2484 at that time) In 2003 the strongest in the <invitation tens> was Bu Xiangzhi with 2569.

Jan-29-07  square dance: i was hoping they would invite nepo to the B group next year. what would be the point of having him play in the C group again?
