Feb-21-07  Strelz: Doesn't Aeroflot have the wins with Black tiebreak system or something similar?

sisyphus: <percyblakeney: The official site rankes them in the order 1. Jakovenko 2. Alekseev 3. Tomashevsky according to some tiebreak system>

I believe the score groups are ranked in order of rating, characteristic of the Swiss system.

Feb-22-07  VishyFan: Harika in A1 group and Rohit in A2 group need a draw in the last round to get their GM Norms....

creditable performance by both...

Feb-22-07  tarlan13: Congratulations to all Azeris. B tournament was won by Vasif Durarbeyli. Ona urekden tebrik edirem.
Feb-22-07  Plato: Jakovenko wins Aeroflot. I called this one from the start :)

My Linares predictions, by contrast, don't seem to be turning out too well (unless Leko starts winning and Carlsen starts losing).

Feb-22-07  ahmadov: <tarlan13> "ona", yoxsa "onu" ;)
Feb-22-07  percyblakeney: Tomashevsky-Jakovenko was drawn in 14 moves.
Feb-22-07  percyblakeney: regardless of tiebreaks Alekseev has the chance to secure a Dortmund ticket if he can beat Sargissian.
Feb-22-07  ahmadov: Eltaj Safarli wins Tigran Petrosian with one move: e4...
Feb-22-07  gmgomes: Aleksev x Sargissian: after move 31, engines evaluates Aleksev with comfortable 2 pawns up, but both players are in time trouble - letīs see how they will get up to move 40.
Feb-22-07  percyblakeney: Looks like Alekseev is going to Dortmund.
Feb-22-07  gmgomes: Sargissian had better resign now.
Feb-22-07  percyblakeney: ...and so he did.
Feb-22-07  percyblakeney: Berg finished without draws after 4 wins and 5 losses.
Feb-22-07  Strongest Force: Tigran Petrosian overslept? Maybe he was playing blitz somewhere & forgot? :-D
Feb-22-07  angslo: Alekseev won
Feb-22-07  Raskolnikov: Ni Hua won nicely against Minasian in Advanced Caro-Cann.
Feb-22-07  stanleys: Conratulations to Alekseev!
Another great win after the title of Russian champion
Feb-22-07  Raskolnikov: There are some really good games in the last round: e.g. Volkov-Balogh, Almasi-Sadvakasov etc.
Feb-22-07  doremi: WFM Hou won against (male) GM Kotronias!
God bless everybody but especially Hou and doremi too

PhilFeeley: <Plato: Jakovenko wins Aeroflot. I called this one from the start :)> A little early with the results? Alekseev won.
Feb-22-07  Plato: <PhilFeeley> My mistake! For some reason I thought yestereday's round was the last one, and Jakovenko had the best tiebreaks.
Feb-23-07  tarlan13: E.Safarli - T.Petrosian
1-0 A great win.
Feb-23-07  samik: Why you are so exited,Tarlan00 ?

PhilFeeley: <Plato> An easy mistake to make. The last round shows how "GM draws" work against you if you want to win a tournament. Alekseev earned the win.
