IS this part of fide?

Apr-10-07  AVA: yes, almost all major open sections of U.S. tournaments are FIDE rated
Apr-10-07  AVA: man, hikaru is having some trouble at this tournament so far ...3.5/6
Apr-10-07  geraldo8187: not 'so far', <ava>, the tournament is already over. he finished with 3.5/7 and dropped out of the last two rounds

chessgames.com: The official site is holding back on some games. It's unclear if they will be posting them later or if the scoresheets are not available/legible.
Apr-10-07  geraldo8187: of robson's 9 games, one was one by white and 8 were won by black!!

Strongest Force: BTW, the Ivanov - Hess game is a excellent win by a major young talent. I've watched him beat every top player in blitz on the internet for a few years now.
Apr-11-07  Dres1: Geez, leave it to Chessgames.com to post my very worst game of the tournament... and one of my worst losses ever i might add!... JK.. im actually happy to see myself getting a page, but im gonna have to submit some of my more reasonable games now so that people dont get the wrong idea :) i wonder how i would do that.. is there an easy way to submit games i have of mine in my Chessbase database?
Apr-11-07  drkodos: The new "anti-cheating methods" are akin to FAA regulations -- mostly smoke disolving into the ether. A number of people in lower sections were ween taking their Monroi's away from their in-progress-games and also using them as an analysis tool. Nothing was done to address this issue even after it was brought to the attention of the TD's.
Apr-11-07  Ashram64: <Dres1>...which one is your worst lost?
Apr-11-07  Marvol: Maybe this one?
E Colding vs A Castaneda, 2007
Apr-11-07  Knight13: Nice. Go Kamsky!
Apr-11-07  Dres1: <Marvol> yes, indeed thats the one.. i was too careless, and missed white opening the e file with exd6 in between move... theres really no defense after that... was a pretty bad loss.. soon ill post some of my better games.. ive defeated quite a few master level players....
Apr-16-07  jmw128: IM Jesse Kraai earned his 3rd GM norm at this tournament. Here's a link http://www.santafenewmexican.com/ne...
Feb-15-11  Penguincw: There's one game with a photo ( Kamsky vs Y Shulman, 2007 ).
Apr-02-12  freeman8201: Was the fox woods open held at the casino called Foxwoods?

paulalbert: This Easter weekend tournament was at the Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut, last held in 2009. The tournament is now held in Philadelphia. I don't know exactly why the venue was changed, perhaps failure to agree on financial arrangements between the casino and the Continental Chess Association which runs the tournament. Interestingly the Foxwoods Casino, owned by the Pequot native American tribe, is now in financial difficulties with $2 Billion of debts; overexpansion and too much tribal welfare payments in the face of declining gambling revenues and increased competition, as well as unionization of employees.

HeMateMe: Less money available to go see David Brenner, Joan Rivers, and lose your money. I guess a chess tournament is a victim of the bad economy. Some of the Vegas casinos are in trouble too.
Apr-03-12  freeman8201: <paulalbert> Thanks for the update. That casino was like the beacon of light back in the 90s to 2000s. What other casinos are there out there now?
