Anand won by a 2(!)-point margin over runner-up Aronian and did not lose a single two-game mini-match over the whole two day tournament. Anand is =clearly= the strongest chess player in the world at the rapid and blitz time controls. |

First of all, those five championships were in succession. Secondly, Wimbledon is the premier event in all of tennis. You'd have to win Dortmund, Corus, etc to compare them...or even the world championship. I am a big chess fan but let's not place Ciudad de Leon in the same category as Wimbledon... |
