Boomie: I think der Wanger can still win by moving the king to b4 and exchanging the rook for everything.

jessicafischerqueen: <Boomie> is Number One for Analysis because he is an expert at using his Top Rated <Wang Computer>

acirce: The way Svidler played seems far less clear since it opens up for possible White exchange sacrifices leading to won pawn endings. I think this loses instead.

May-03-08  malthrope: <brankat: Draw, draw, draw! So much for my Pick three :-)>

Don't feel too bad <brankat> as I forgot to pick 'French Defense' for Shark's opening choice... Oops. :( ~lol~

May-03-08  eisenherz: Svidler quits! Wang 1-0
May-03-08  slomarko: hi <jessicafischerqueen>. so Navara and Gashimov are the only ones still playing looks drawish.

acirce: On the other hand White would not have had to capture on b4. 45..b4 46.a4 was possible:

Not sure about this, White might have to make sure he retains the a-pawn, and the question is if he can. It would seem like he can as there is always a5, and Black is currently not in time for his own ..a5 because Ra8. But I'm not sure.

May-03-08  malthrope: I see Kings on chessboard soon in <Never Wins> vs (Gash the Flash>... Get out your 2 piece Tablebases! ~lol~
May-03-08  slomarko: <acirce: On the other hand White would not have had to capture on b4. 45..b4 46.a4 was possible> good morning.
May-03-08  eisenherz: Wang is going to win the tournament. he will face much weaker opponents than Grischuk.
May-03-08  maxfrank: Bravo Wang Yue! Tied for first and soon to join the 2700 club. That Tiger Balm must be good stuff.
May-03-08  eisenherz: Yes! I like Wangs style. Its so accurate, solid and bold.
May-03-08  memento mori: Wang Yue's new rating after Round 11: 2708.8
May-03-08  percyblakeney: Tough for Bacrot, he has had the much better position several games in a row without being able to win, not even against Svidler who claimed that he was close to resigning. Then he makes the blunder of the tournament, otherwise he has been playing quite well. Svidler is as usual less dangerous towards the end of a tournament, if not for that miracle save against Bacrot he would now have three losses in a row.
