SetNoEscapeOn: It was too simple for Etienne!
Fressinet was not able to mount a serious challenge.
Aug-28-08  Simonkaser: I was there few days ago...
Aug-28-08  Jason Frost: <SetNoEscapeOn> Not sure how it was too simple for Bacrot as it went in to tie breaks. Also not sure why you say Fressinet was the main challenger as Vachier-Lagrave is the currently the highest rated Frenchman(+10 over Bacrot)
Aug-29-08  wolfmaster: Why didn't Lautier play?
Aug-29-08  zoren: even if vachier was higher rated, i think most players that are familiar with these names would notice that bacrot is much more experienced.
Aug-30-08  Simonkaser: <wolfmaster> Lautier didn't play because he's inactive since end 2007... but I don't know why...
Sep-10-08  Bobsterman3000: Lautier has a new job being a full-time shill for Kramnik. He's got no time to actually <play> chess.
