  chessgames.com: Official site: http://www.ippogrifoscacchi.it/

We don't know if there is a page for live games, but The Week in Chess is providing a live PGN feed here: http://www.chesscenter.com/twic/reg...

Dec-28-08  Prugno: <cg> Indeed there is a link to the live games: as soon as the homepage opens, all you have to do is click on "2° turno" (in today's case, or whatever other round is being played on the given day) and the familiar TFD boards with the round's action will appear. Have fun and enjoy the chess!

Fusilli: No draws in the first round! This shall be an exciting tournament.
Dec-29-08  jacqueslaumone: Anybody know if it's possible to watch the games from the Asian Club Cup online? I think it's Wang Hao-Karjakin today, could be interesting.
Dec-29-08  jon01: Leon Hoyos and Gustaffson are playing Evans Gambit!

whiteshark: Two quick draws, a dead draw today and two wins with black. Almasi took sole lead with 3/3 followed by Hua with 2.5 points.
Dec-30-08  shintaro go: <This shall be an exciting tournament.> So exciting it only has 7 comments.
Dec-30-08  jacqueslaumone: <<This shall be an exciting tournament.> So exciting it only has 7 comments.>

That's because there are too many decisive games. People mainly comment to complain about draws.

Dec-30-08  shintaro go: <That's because there are too many decisive games> Or maybe because people aren't too interested with the players competing here. If chessgames can accomodate this tournament, all the more it should cover the Asian Club Cup although it is about to end.
Dec-30-08  braimondi: Go Ni Hua! \o/
Dec-30-08  jacqueslaumone: Ni Hua - Leon Hoyos is a tremendous game: sacrifices, stuff hanging all over the board, mating threats, time trouble...
Dec-30-08  jon01: Ni Hua won, it was a great game.
Dec-30-08  LittleWing: wow, Almasi 4/4, very nice!
Dec-31-08  Knight to f6: Too many 2400-rated players (Cebalo, Ronchetti, Shytaj) means that the fight is between Ni Hua, Almasi, Dreev, and possibly Gustafsson.

Does anyone know when Ni Hua-Almasi is being played?

Jan-01-09  plimko: First defeat for Almasi against Dreev.
Jan-01-09  chessmoron: Hey, is Marin the guy who writes analysis for chessbase.com?
Jan-01-09  slomarko: yeah it is him
Jan-01-09  savuflorin1983: <chessmoron: Hey, is Marin the guy who writes analysis for chessbase.com?> Yeas, he's the guy.
Jan-02-09  jacqueslaumone: I wonder if it's wise, what Black is doing in Ni Hua - Shytaj. Giving the center and a development lead to an opponent who is a great tactician and who outrates you by about 250 points seems a little provocative.

Regio live now with board
http://www.ippogrifoscacchi.it/torn...

I believe Hastings is the stronger tournament; also live now with embedded boards; here's link for all boards in progress
http://www.hastingschess.org.uk/gam...

Use the home page for more info and/or to just see top 4 boards

Why doesn't chessgames have a separate link file for the more important Hastings tournament ?

Jan-03-09  ronaldducalang: Ni Hua is in the lead!
Jan-03-09  unsound: He's clinched 1st with a round to spare, in fact.
Jan-04-09  jacqueslaumone: <He's clinched 1st with a round to spare, in fact.>

First prize is a shrubbery, he really wanted that.
