| HeMateMe: I hope our american PC makers, like Dell, HP, et al, band together and don't put in the software that blocks sites. It takes a unified effort, but they can ignore the communist request, and just sell those computers. |

I'm Chinese,and I dont think our government is doing actually wrong to block some controversial and bad sites.We should not commix the unjustice and corruption of some part of the government with the goodwill of the administration of the internet.For instance,would you allow your adolescent child to watch the violent or porny sites?Absolutely not.
I dont think freedom means you can do whatever you want,since there is a difference of pursueing the goodness and badness. |

You know,there are some controversial contents in blogspot and youtube...Government wont ban them for all the time,it is because we have been around the date of TiananmenSquare Event...so Youtube and Blogspot are banned recently...
In the near future,I'm sure they would get back as before.
IMO,the conduct of the government is still quite flexible and practical. |

I would rather leave them in peace and "ignorance"....

everyone needs to talk politics, even the chess players as an American liberal, I have some severe criticisms of China's government, but I have other places on the Internet where I usually go to talk about that stuff. Chess is something that can bring us together as nations! It is a human art form that we can all enjoy. |

Of the seven match games one was always rapid and it was decided by the team with four blacks which of the boards that was supposed to be rapid. The final round of every gathering starts as early as 8 (!) in the morning (Morozevich will probably never play in the Chinese League). |
