| timhortons: i observed the kovalyov -bacrot game, kovalyov fight it out but it was a drawish game.mid game i told anton dad that this will be a draw, and good thing it did become a draw. now naiditsch deserved it.
kovalyov-bacrot game start 12:30pm,while naiditsch-bhat game start 2pm, so when naiditsch come in the tournament hall he got idea already that bacrot is a pawn down and fighting for a draw in a drawish mid game. now this give naiditsch a chance for a solo place in number 1 spot if he play for a win and win!! 7pm is awarding ceremony followed by blitz game.... |

kovalyov and bacrot pic in the last round...
im sure bacrot is catching a flue, he sneeze all the time and blowing his nose in this game. maybe the montreal cold weather is affecting him. anyways cheers to the organizers for making this tournament successfull and to the arbiters as well.. |

| ROADDOG: Congrats to Naiditsch for winning the tournament. Eventhough he lost badly to Akobian, overall, he played best. I liked watching Kovalyov also. He has great potential. |

| WinKing: <znsprdx: <WinKing:> perhaps you might explain why <CG> is coming up short?> I really don't know. They seemed to have a lot of trouble just trying to get the standings correct which they never did get right till the very end. When they are having trouble it's up to us to step up and keep things going which we did fairly well I think. Hopefully this is not the way it will be all the time now. I will give <CG> the benefit of the doubt that perhaps they had some glitches with their equipment & they will be fixed in the near future. |

| WinKing: <znsprdx> also I contacted them on three separate occasions to correct various problems which they did only to find a short time later they were messed up again. So I believe they were trying to make things right but were unable to come up with a long range solution. |

| timhortons: correction to my previous post...somebody actually pointed this out in my blog..bacrot come in second. the amazing performance i find here is of GM tiviakov, he got a slow start but pulled him up in the 3rd place with kovalyov and maze. final standing after round 11.

GM moiseenkoo win the blitz competiton held after 10TH tourneo international de montreal standard time control competition.it was 6 double rounds. i got the info from him at icc.
GM moiseenko next event is european cup in october. |
