Oct-14-09    zoren: On the SC comments, I think the strategies sometimes need to be implemented with immaculate micro, or it wont work, but they aren't necessarily exclusive from each other. Timing, macro, and micro, are all necessary components of a successful strategy. This is why I prefer chess, since it is turned base, and the execution of a correct strategy wont get goofed up. Oct-16-09    A Karpov Fan: if only i had been Yun fan first -lol- Oct-16-09    eternaloptimist: Well, Zatonskih definitely proved she is the strongest women's player in the U.S. this year. Last year it was debatable because blitz games decided who won it. I think that Krush did every bit as good as her last year. It was too bad that she had to have such a tough "loss" in that last blitz game. There was a very controversial ending to it. They should have either had both of them tie for first or had longer time controls in all of the tiebreaker games. I'm sure that she wanted to really prove that she is the strongest women's player in the U.S. this year & that she definitely did. She won almost every game!
