Indeed!
It seems Muzychuk had made a wrong choice in the opening.

Willem Wallekers: The last draw in this group was on Tuesday.
Jan-29-10  dumbgai: With 2 rounds to go and a 1.5 point lead, Li Chao can guarantee himself at least a share of first by making a draw tomorrow. With a win he can secure clear first.

An Englishman: Good Evening: Interesting statistic that might only interest me--the last 18 games have included 0 draws. Which means I probably just cursed the next round to end with 100% draws.
Jan-29-10  ruelas007: And you also have un-cursed the next round

but whoops! i have just re-cursed it again...

damn, i think i have just.... wait, letīs just leave it like that ok?

notyetagm: Corus (C Group) (2010)/Daniele Vocaturo

Daniele Vocaturo has been amazing in this tournament:

White +6 =0 -0
Black +0 =2 -4

Yes, that is correct. Vocaturo is <6/6(!)> with the White pieces but only <1/6> with the Black pieces.

He's like two different players, 3400 with White and 2000 with Black.

Anyone care to compute his exact TPRs with White and Black?

Jan-30-10  chessmoron: Congrats to China's Li Chao (b) and punch himself through to next years B group.

Excellent game against Ray Robson.

I still cannot figure out how Robson missed a mate-in-1 with a 30-second increment on his clock.

Hey,Lichao and Pengzhaoqing are good friends,it's said (by a chinese chess player in his mini blog)that if Lichao didnt win the champion in advance,Peng would agree on a draw in the final round, but if Lichao did, they two would really play for chess itself:)

waustad: Congrats to Grandelius and Vocaturo for all of the decisive games. After today's win, now Vocaturo is tied for second, pending the result of Gupta - Robson.
Jan-31-10  Whitehat1963: Is Li Chao the only player rated above 2600 in this crowd?
Jan-31-10  ChessXin: Li Chao is too strong for this group. He should have played in Group B.
Jan-31-10  Whitehat1963: My point exactly.
Jan-31-10  wolfmaster: Congrats to Li Chao! Getting +7 in an immensely strong field (everyone over 2200) is no small achievement.

Yes.

White +7 =0 -0
Black +0 =2 -4

It's like Vocaturo played <3500> chess with White and <1900> chess with Black!
