Wrong page ??
|Mar-08-10|| ||Hovik2009: yes, that is a nice new country to be named of United Women of Europe!|
|Mar-08-10|| ||whiteshark: FWIW: Today is <International Women's Day>. ;)|
|Mar-08-10|| ||Hovik2009: Ok I forgot about that, but anyway in this new feminizing era, human race is threatened to be taken over by two formidable forces, one is artificial intelengence lead by mainframe computers and internet, and another is natural intelegence lead by ever awakening women!|
just kidding girls!
|Mar-08-10|| ||whiteshark: "Gender equality and womenís empowerment are fundamental to the global mission of the United Nations to achieve equal rights and dignity for all... But equality for women and girls is also an economic and social imperative. Until women and girls are liberated from poverty and injustice, all our goals -- peace, security, sustainable development -- stand in jeopardy."|

Women had better avoid chess then.
|Mar-08-10|| ||Etienne: "Women had better avoid chess then."
Haha good one!
|Mar-08-10|| ||acirce: Women hold up half the sky!
Here is a little piece by Kollontai from the early years of Soviet Russia about the origin and the real significance of Women's Day, which has become so sadly depoliticized in our days: http://www.marxists.org/archive/kol...
|Mar-08-10|| ||wanabe2000: <technical draw> Indeed, Tatiana is a Grandmaster awarded in October 2009. Her sister is playing very well of late and has past her in ELO ratings. I'm not sure how close Nadezhda is to the GM but she is the highest rated Russian Woman chessplayer (FIDE Top 100 Women January 2010) with 2533. She's the fifth highest rated female chessplayer overall.|

|Mar-09-10|| ||Viewer Deluxe: Curiously, Natalia Zhukova just spent over 35min pondering her 17.e5 move vs Svetlana Matveeva (round 4). You wonít be able to find that type of insight in any other broadcasting software.|
|Mar-09-10|| ||PhilFeeley: The top board is a good game today. No quick draw here!|

|Mar-09-10|| ||PhilFeeley: Rats! They made a liar out of me. In such a highly competitive tournament, why take quick draws?|
|Mar-10-10|| ||nuwanda: |
After four rounds GM Monika Socko of Poland with 4.0/4 in sole first place.
But how hard chess is, even for the best, can be seen in B Kovanova vs M Socko, 2010
good for a patzer like me to see that others have trouble too
|Mar-11-10|| ||Octavia: after 5 rds 3 are 1st=
Scottish, Polish & Russian.
The reason why Arakhamia-Grant, Ketevan - Kosintseva, Tatiana didn't play it out is because they respect each other too much (very much?). Both achieved the GM title last year.
Keti played 2 exciting games in rd 3 & 5
|Mar-11-10|| ||HeMateMe: Monica is sockin' them|
|Mar-11-10|| ||Viewer Deluxe: Antoaneta Stefanova sent her knight on quite a journey g6-f8-e6-g7-e8-f6-g8-e7-g6 in her game vs. Arakhamia-Grant in round 6. I canít believe this has happened in OTB game. Take a look (board #2) http://chesstuff.blogspot.com/2010/...|

What about a little after dinner raconteuring?
|Mar-11-10|| ||HeMateMe: Ok. Why don't we start an investment company that guarantees a 20% return for all investors? I'm sure the chessplayers here will trust us...|
|Mar-11-10|| ||alexapple: How many players will qualify for the Women's world Championship in Turkey?|
|Mar-12-10|| ||DarthStapler: I notice that the description on the front page lists the name Kosintseva twice, I know there are two of them playing but to the less informed readers they might think it was a mistake, so perhaps adding the player's first initial before one of them would be prudent.|
|Mar-12-10|| ||Atking: <Viewer Deluxe:> Yes this knights moves are amazing but I'm more impressed by this light Bishop still alive even closed in the queen side.|
Almira does pretty well too.
