  whiteshark: I second that!
Apr-04-10  nevski: Why the Kosintseva sisters are not playing this championship?
Apr-05-10  percyblakeney: Kosteniuk isn't playing World Champion level chess here, in both her white games she has had a lost position quite early, today she seems to be lost already after 15 moves against Zhukova.
Apr-05-10  siamesedream: <she seems to be lost already after 15 moves against Zhukova> Lost in 22.
Apr-05-10  percyblakeney: <Lost in 22>

Her quickest loss ever in classical chess regardless of colour, and with white she has never lost that quickly even in blitz. Losing like this against Zhukova (not a weak player but never top ten among the women) after a bad loss also in her previous white game really shows that Kosteniuk is far from her best.

Apr-05-10  percyblakeney: User: Paikidze keeps doing well, after beating Pogonina in a previous round she won with black against GM Arakhamia-Grant today.
Apr-05-10  siamesedream: Quite impressive, considering her age (born 27 October 1993), but Nazi Paikidze should change her first name.
Apr-05-10  operative: I thought Zhao Xue was Chinese.

Wild Bill: Just looking at the Higher League on the official site, it would seem that the Women's League and the Higher League could be merged into one competition. They seem to be on a par with each other.
