Jun-30-10  messachess: Wow! What a tournament. They really like to play chess in old Wroclaw.--currently working on the pronunciation of "Wojtaszek." Wish me luck.

  Dr. Funkenstein: If you look at the tournament leader Bartel's games you'll see that he has sac'd the exchange in every one except one game. Even Topalov would be impressed by that!
Jul-02-10  wanabe2000: Quote from the tournament. "The biggest surprise was Georgian Nazi Paikidze who took 7th place despite a weak start (1/3). In the final rounds she won against WGM Jolanta Zawadzka, IM Pavel Simacek and finally smashed GM Csaba Balogh. She didn't only take the prize for best women and player under 2400, but also made an IM norm". [2010-07-02]

She scored (+6-2=1) and won against GM Balogh in the last round.
