Cause last year some people from Tal Memorial turned down blitz and some people from Tal Memorial already qualified (so in essence a double spot)... I've read at another place that the participants would be Top 6 Aeroflot Blitz + Top 10 on FIDE rating list + 4 organizer nominees. I am not sure which is correct, perhaps someone else can clarify. Feb-18-11    AuN1: after the tal memorial this past year, i believe the organizers said that they did not plan on holding the blitz championship immediately after the super-tournament. they said it was making less and less sense to have both events back to back.
