Mar-20-11  Penguincw: < chancho: I see Naka - Gelfand twice on the games list... >

I also see Gelfand-Aronian twice.

Mar-20-11  Penguincw: Grischuk advancing on the kingside with tempo,Nakamura's knight is hit.
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: And the knight runs to f1.
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: With opposite coloured bishops in Ivanchuk-Gelfand,the game may be drawn.
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: Aronian's bishop looks to grab those last two queenside pawns of Anand.
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: Aronian doing better. :(
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: Anand pressing his pawn to d3.I'm not sure if it's the right time though.
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: Ivanchuk wants to press for the win,but with the black queen on a3,it's kind of hard to do so.
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: Aronian's queen and rook have to stop the pawn from advancing.
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: Anand wants his knight to jump to e4,which would attack the queen. But right now,Aronian would just take out that knight.
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: Aronian plays the bishop back to f3,which is currently watching the f3 square, which is the promotion square.
Mar-20-11  KKDEREK: You could make 2 posts insted of 9 <penguincw> and have the same result.
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: The opposite coloured bishops are making it hard for Ivanchuk to win.Gelfand,is happy to come away with a draw.
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: < KKDEREK: You could make 2 posts insted of 9 <penguincw> and have the same result. >

Ok.Sure.I'll try.

Ivanchuk could exchange rooks, but that will leave him with less firepower to win.

Anand could advance the pawn to d2.

Still not much action in Nakamura-Grischuk.

parmetd: tpstar ng4 is not the last book move. 10. Ne3 is.

Still the last few moves have been weird h4 gxh4 Nh2 Bf6 makes no sense to me... I would have played Be2 instead of h4 and preferred white. Now i'm just confused as all get out.

Is Anand losing right now? Position looks very bad but sharp.

Mar-20-11  Penguincw: Anand's passed pawn falls.Aronian is now doing better.First of all,Anand's extra knight is pinned,so it will fall.If it moves,Anand will lose the exchange. Not looking pleasant for Anand.
Mar-20-11  KKDEREK: Thanks sir! My chessbomb is stuck, do you have the eval for Aronian Anand?
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: Anand backs up his queen to try to stop the passed pawn.

Nakamura looks to swing his bishop over to h5,to force the rook to move.

Gelfand getting his king a little closer to the center.I'm not sure if that is needed right now though. But he does need to get off a light square.

  parmetd: Chucky is winning! Chucky!!!
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: Well,Aronian wins his piece back.He still has a passed pawn on a3,but that pawn probably won't make it.

Ivanchuk has an isolated passed pawn that is really for Gelfand to stop and win. He's threatening a fork right now.

Mar-20-11  fab4: Yeah chucky looks in a good position.. mayve d7 now and Rb7

  parmetd: just take on b7
Mar-20-11  fab4: Qh7 looks scary
Mar-20-11  Penguincw: < parmetd: Chucky is winning! Chucky!!! >

He does look like he's winning. He should play Qh7 to threaten a mate in one.If he wins,I win 211 chessbucks. :)

Aronian-Anand have exchange rooks. It's down to the queens, bishops, pawns and kings. The kings should stay home right now though.

Mar-20-11  Penguincw: I think Gelfand is going to lose.I can smell the cash already.

I'm not sure what happened, but I think Anand gave up his bishop for the pawn.Anand could draw the game with checks though.
