Mar-18-11		goodevans: It is commonplace for the host country to include some of its own players in tournaments that they would otherwise not qualify for. This happened recently in Tata Steel and The London Chess Classic. Personally, I can't see anything wrong with giving the nation's players opportunities they might not otherwise get to compete at a higher level. Once in the tournament, though, I would expect these players to be treated the same as the other competitors and without favour. For example, in a Swiss tournament such as Reykjavik it would not be appropriate to give the home players easier draws. I was surprised to see that as late as round 7 one of the tournament leaders, Hannes Stefansson, was paired with a <2358> player, around 200 points weaker than any of the other tournament leaders' opponents. I looked back a round to see that his round 6 opponent was rated only <1923>! Here's a little analysis I've done of the <average rating of the opponents they faced> for a selection of the Reykjavik players: From the group with 6.5/9: Luke McShane (GB) <2500> / Stelios Halkias (Greece) <2482> / Hannes Stefansson (Iceland) <2274> From the group with 6.0/9: Evgenij Miroshnichenko (Ukraine) <2450> / Bragi Thorfinnsson (Iceland) <2322> / Gudmundur Gislason (Iceland) <2290> From the group with 5.5/9: Robert Hess (USA) <2463> / Simon Williams (UK) <2464> / Halldor Einarsson (Iceland) <2160> Can anyone spot a trend here?

Is it possible to shift these comments to corresponding games when the games are finally posted on chessgames.com. This will help later viewers full opporunity to read all comments related to a game.Or is it too much to expect since some labour is involved in the same.Or is it possible that those who have commented themselves get opportunity to shift their comments in the above mentioned manner.
