HeMateMe: No Yifan. Is she 2600 yet? It would seem that the highest rating female players here are 2550.

alexmagnus: No Hou is OK, she competes with men, but where is her opponent in the WC final, Ruan Lufei?

HeMateMe: I think Lufie is either retiring (quite young) or taking an extended break. Carnegie is a primo school, high salaries, great jobs for graduates. But, lots of time consuming work. Me thinks her chess career is mostly over.
Apr-08-11  Penguincw: It looks like every player has won at least one game and drawn at least one game too.Too bad there's no betting for the women's chapionship.Only five players have at least a theortical chance to win the tournament. Zhang Xiaowen , Zhao Xue , Wang Jue , Ju Wenjun and Wang Yu.
Apr-09-11  Penguincw: Whoops. My bad.Xu Tong hasn't drawn a game yet.Anyways, now,it's down to two players.Zhang Xiaowen and Zhao Xue.
Apr-09-11  bundet111: I always wonder how good these people are with chinese chess lol...

I mean in chinese chess you can block the knight and there is no queen there are 4 less pawns that captures differently and bishops suck.

Apr-10-11  plimko: Zhang Xiaowen is the new Chinese Female Champion, congrats!
