kellmano: Poor old Navara. He used to be very promising, and everyone comments on how pleasant an individual he is, but he appars to have lost his way a bit over the past couple of year.
Aug-07-11  BobCrisp: When his rating falls below 2700, he may as well retire.

Navara's rating in September 2010: 2722. Navara's rating in the most recent FIDE release (July 2010): 2722. Earlier this year he tied Mcshane for first in Tata (Corus) B, and his tournaments in the last three months were a 6 game match against Movsesian (he won), the French team championship (he went 8/11), the Capablanca tournament (he performed above rating), and the Greek team championship (his 5/7 included a win against Ivanchuk).

Maybe you're reading a bit too much into one match?

twinlark: Moreover, Láznička is a dangerous player who may finally be coming into his own.
Jan-09-12  Penguincw: He better do better at Tata 2012 if he wants to thrive.
