He used to be very promising, and everyone comments on how pleasant an individual he is, but he appars to have lost his way a bit over the past couple of year. Earlier this year he tied Mcshane for first in Tata (Corus) B, and his tournaments in the last three months were a 6 game match against Movsesian (he won), the French team championship (he went 8/11), the Capablanca tournament (he performed above rating), and the Greek team championship (his 5/7 included a win against Ivanchuk).
