| | Maatalkko: I was sympathetic towards the faction of GM’s who protested anti-drawing rules until this year. Seems that every event with them has benefited and without them has suffered. I understand the idea that the absolute percentage may not vary much, but there are light years of difference between a drawn struggle and a drawn sham. |

I don't see much of problem him making so many draws, he is an old buddy, let him enjoy:) |

but maybe a black win is worth 4 points to 3 for white such that at the very least 'draws' could be divided into a split: 2 points for Black 1 point for White.... There are other considerations that could enter into the picture such as difference in ratings - which could require half-point  adjustments, at least in single round robin (and even Swiss?) tournaments Of course this would greatly upset comparisons with past statistics - poor Kramnik and Leko would find their results not quite so impressive. |

Imagine the situation: every player participating in this tournament had before the tournament agreed to draw with GM Dorfman. Even the players who want to win it agreed to "lose" half point. Then, suddenly, you play this GM in penultimate round and are co-leader with such player as MVL, who is able to win almost any time he wants or needs to. It is very tempting to break the agreement and play for a win. What do you think, is this scenario possible here? If yes, what do you think about the moral aspect? There is lot of views you can choose.. |

I think Feller won on time. During these last days the pressure was great with some surprises. It seems that all players have their good and bad days and I think the final result is quite fair. |
