Sep-08-11  BUNA: It's hard to pick a match now, isn't it?
But I go with <Ivanchuk-Radjabov>.

I'm quite impressed by both the cubans and PHN!
I haven't been following their games so far, probably because they didn't belong to the shiny inner circle of the elite. I was wrong.

Great games, great fights. Hats off!
And the live video stream really ads another dimension to it.

Who has been the most convincing so far and could therefore be called favorite?

Gashimov, but he almost stumbled against PHN.

Ivanchuk was in severe trouble against Bu and Sutovsky.

Svidler should have lost his second game against Kamsky.

Polgar and Pono could have been out minutes ago.

Navara didn't have a really tough opponent so far.

Probably Radjabov?

boz: <Polgar-Svidler> because having the first move, Judit will go straight for the jugular and because Svidler is a diabolical counter-puncher and bon vivant.
Sep-08-11  kia0708: boz, your post is a great advertising for this game !
Sep-08-11  Kanatahodets: Clearly the future champion is of utmost interest. Therefore I vote for Svidler-Polgar.

Sep-08-11  Mr. Slim: Close encounter of the third kind:

<Player: Peter Svidler
Player profile: Judit Polgar

Overall record: Peter Svidler tied Judit Polgar 4 to 4, with 6 draws.*>

Sep-08-11  Mr. Slim: Who can explain the Judit phenomenon? e.g. rising way on top over the rest of the ladies to give the men some head....ache.

Was it Fischer's influence...if not what?

I'll give a billion dollars to the one who gives the correct answer!

Sep-08-11  kamalakanta: Polgar-Svidler for sure!
