Apr-24-12  LoveThatJoker: <shach matov> Your comment regarding the three players with talent comparable to Kasparov's is also pretty <subjective>.

LTJ

Apr-24-12  shach matov: Well that's what I said: talent is rather subjective... but we still can make some observations which would lead to considering one player as more <talented> than another, granted even here not everybody will agree.
Apr-24-12  LoveThatJoker: <shach matov> You are free to make as many subjective statements about talent as you like. But the objective truth regading chess players with talent, comparable to Kasparov's, is that Kramnik dethroned Kasparov in a WCC match - Kramnik's growth and talent nurtured all along by the great Champion.

If that isn't talent or worthiness to Kasparov's legacy enough for you, then your subjective appreciation for talent/worth is simply not in line with the Truth.

This quote from another <talented> World Champion, like Kramnik I might add, should help you:

"Lies and hypocrisy do not survive for long on the chessboard. The creative combination lies bare the presumption of a lie, while the merciless fact, culminating in a checkmate, contradicts the hypocrite."

Apr-24-12  shach matov: <You are free to make as many subjective statements about talent as you like.>

Ok, so why then are you even replying to my post? Are we supposed to ask your permission before making a post here??

I believe that Anand, Aronian and Carlsen are way superior to Kramnik in chess talent! If you want me to repeat this, I can, for your enjoyment in particular.

And this match is turning into one of the most enjoyable since the 2008 match when Anand beat Kramnik. I have many other interesting opinions... Hopefully there's no thought police on this site which decides which posts are acceptable and which not! ;]

Apr-24-12  LoveThatJoker: <shach matov> I'm not thought police - as I said you are more than welcome to make as many subjective statements about talent as you like. I'm just tempering the subjectivity of your posts with objectivity.

Enjoy!

;)

Apr-24-12  Ladolcevita: They are both sparkling chess talents of apparently the rarest kind,so why not we just enjoy their splendid match instead of bringing forward such "who is the better player"theme again?(I mean I have seen a top10 or top5 all time chess player discussion here before, and certainly there is not to be any clear-cut answer in the end:))
Apr-24-12  shach matov: <Enjoy!>

For me it's one of the more enjoyable matches in a while! But maybe because I haven't followed chess for at least four years.

Good luck to both players and lets have a nice fight, no draws!

Apr-24-12  LoveThatJoker: <Ladolcevita> Are you talking about Aronian and Kramnik? Well, of course they are! I think highly of Aronian: He is the best Armenian chess player since Petrosian, a true and rare talent, and a most worthy pretender for the title of World's #1 and/or World Champion.

But Kramnik's incredible importance to the game we love so much, must not be ignored, forgotten, devalued or derided. He is truly a phenomenal talent as you said, and one of Chess' all-time greatest players.

LTJ

Apr-24-12  shach matov: Very SUBJECTIVE post... indeed one of the most subjective I ever seen on this site, which is saying a whole lot!;]
Apr-24-12  Ladolcevita: <LoveThatJoker>
Yes,indeed,as you have put it very well, and I would also add that Aronian and Kramnik are both 2800 club members, which I believe is a feat rather rare for any chess player nowadays(Rating in the past is not so comparable to the present day),so surely any devaluation or suchlike of their chess talent or importance to the game, should be very absurd and false...
Apr-24-12  LoveThatJoker: <Ladolcevita> I esteem your post!

Thank you for sharing with me your insight and appreciation for the true strength of these greats.

Sincerely,

LTJ

King Sacrificer: I think Aronian has the best combination of creativity and calculation power at the moment.

I hope newbies like me have the right to make cheeky comments like this one. Please don't kill me.

Apr-24-12  iking: <LTJ

PS. If Aronian is in better form right now, then more power to him; but to say he might be more talented than Kramnik is not recognizing the legacy of fighting >

i agree 100%

~

Apr-24-12  LoveThatJoker: <iking> Thanks for stating that you agree, man! I appreciate it, as I was just trying to express the objective truth in this matter.

Apr-24-12  LoveThatJoker: <solskytz> High fives! YEAH!

Apr-24-12  jussu: So, Aronian launched a rockfall that would have crushed any mortal and probably most of the 27xx-dwellers alike. Kramnik figured that there seemed to be a narrow path through the rolling boulders, and decided to go exploring. Whether his judgement was correct - probably thousands of engine-equipped kibitzers knew immediately. I didn't understand a thing about this game and was surprised by every second move or so.
Apr-24-12  solskytz: Kramnik back to 2800+ with a vengeance!

And on the other hand, looks like it isn't so easy to fly high above 2800...

Apr-24-12  solskytz: Thx to LTJ - who now seems to have predicted my post due to sheer magic!
Apr-24-12  LoveThatJoker: <solskytz> Yes!

:D

Apr-24-12  KKDEREK: Too much for that talk about "+3" for Aronian, or Kramnik "should retire" and so forth. Great game. I'm not a Kramnik fan but we gotta give credit were the credit is due. The guy is still super-strong. No ease path for <anyone>..
Apr-24-12  Mr. Bojangles: <I'm not a Kramnik fan but we gotta give credit were the credit is due.>

Brotha Kramnik does not want your credit.

U can ram it up 'u know where' I hear him say.
