 | | waustad: As I suggested a bit earlier, Rapport and Grandelius both were hurt in the final ordering by tiebreaks. 4th was a good result for Grandelius, who tied with 9.5 points with Ding Liren. He picks up 14.8 ELO. Rapport picks up 16.3 ELO and Ipatov gets the title. |

I downloaded all his games from this database the other day too, and I'm really Impressed with him, especially one game In particular he played In this tourney against Shimanov..
I see others were Impressed with that game too..

My money would be on Aronian, but Anand, GK and some of the young guns might love the chance to give their seniors a battering. |

| Aug-15-12 | | joeyj: That would be great <qqdos>, some of the former WJCC the legends i.e. Anatoly Karpov('69), Alexander Beliavsky('73), Artur Yusupov('77), Yasser Seirawan('79), Kasparov('80), Andrei Sokolov('82) who are still playing lately be it rated or just friendly games + of course the middle aged and active players headed by WC Anand('87) and the current #2 World rated Aronian('02)+ the young stars would be an interesting cast ! |

i.e. for Ipatov it's +24.4 instead of 24.
for Rapport it's +16.3 instead of 16.
for Zherebukh it's -6.6 instead of -7.
Decimal points matters more often in determining Live rating and in computing/combining results of 2 or more tournaments in a rating period before finally rounding it off for the final FIDE rating for the period. |
