Karpov (It was his first visit to Germany) dominates the Bad Lauterberg tournament, scoring 12/15; Timman's second place, two points adrift, is also an excellent performance. 16 players, whereof 4 Germans (Hübner, Hermann, Gerusel and Wockenfuss)
