|Dec-16-13|| ||dx9293: I have to agree with <alkinoos> here. I can assure you that a lot of chess-women LOVE the attention they get.|
I think a lot of chessplayers (and men in general) would take someone calling their wife a "milfy babe" as a compliment, especially an older player. Maybe even Vishy!? I have never met the ex-champ, so I have no way to know how he would feel about this, but he seems to have a great sense of humor. Maybe Aruna would appreciate the compliment too!? Older women who have had children tend to relish sincere compliments about their attractiveness...at least in the West...
|Dec-16-13|| ||Octavia: what happened to freedom of speech? Kids ought to be taught that sticks & stones can break their bones but words can never hurt them.|
this is brill: I'd just been saying to my hubby that its a pity cg can't announce that their darling won an impressive tournay because of the way they'd mishandled the comp & there it is. But what happens? everybody talks about everything else except the darling : )
|Dec-16-13|| ||Jason Frost: <guenther42: ... But this is why women don't frequent this site. It is poisoned by these Neanderthals.>|
Sure, has nothing to do with the male/female ratio among chess players.
|Dec-16-13|| ||Marmot PFL: <alkinoos:> i didn't even know what that meant until i looked it up, but I doubt most women would consider it a compliment~!|
|Dec-16-13|| ||JustAnotherPatzer: MOLLOY's casual use of such an acronym is symptomatic of our degenerate Cultural Marxist milieu which seeks the umwertung aller werte.|
He meant no offence. Our social mores /moral values don't change by way of happenstance, so direct your ire toward the social engineers and culture creators (who do).
|Dec-16-13|| ||Bishoprick: This business of gelding males to accommodate females is absolutely unacceptable in the world of chess as in the world at large. That so many men agree to be gelded is embarrassing.|
|Dec-16-13|| ||parmetd: who is naka's gf?
I miss the old format.
|Dec-16-13|| ||schweigzwang: ... Social engineers, ewwww.|
|Dec-16-13|| ||Kinghunt: Nakamura got lucky this year. I don't mean lucky in any of his games (though he undeniably was), so much as lucky that Carlsen declined to participate.|
|Dec-16-13|| ||SirRuthless: <Kinghunt> Nakamura would have destroyed Carlsen this year. Utterly decimated him. He was a man possessed.|
|Dec-16-13|| ||Eduardo Leon: <SirRuthless> Mmm... Carlsen would not have missed the win Kramnik did.|
I do not particularly like Carlsen's style, I need a little bit more tactics to not fall sleep, but Nakamura still has a way to go if he wants to achieve Carlsen has already achieved.
|Dec-16-13|| ||Eduardo Leon: <SirRuthless> No disrespect meant to Nakamura, of course. I was actually rooting for him in this tournament. :-)|
|Dec-16-13|| ||perfidious: Degenerate cultural Marxist milieu, indeed.
Political correctness rules the roost-don't even <think> anything out of line, or retribution shall be exacted by the PC police, without mercy.
|Dec-16-13|| ||SirRuthless: <Eduardo Leon> You are entitled to your opinion of course. I agree Nakamura has much to work on in classical but in Rapids the difference between them is close to negligible. Nakamura went undefeated in the event because like I said he was a man possessed. I doubt Carlsen would have stood a chance.|
|Dec-16-13|| ||Shams: <SirRuthless> <I doubt Carlsen would have stood a chance.>|
Not even a chance, eh?
There are times I think people are too hard on you. Then you post things like this, and I think you deserve everything you get.
|Dec-16-13|| ||SirRuthless: <Shams> I was feeling rambunctious and perhaps got carried away. Alright Carlsen would have probably had a chance to win. Truth is I really don't care if people like me. I walk to the beat of my own drum. ;-)|
|Dec-16-13|| ||QueentakesKing: Why does Anand have only one game?|
|Dec-16-13|| ||Domdaniel: < Why does Anand have only one game?>
I see two.|
|Dec-16-13|| ||QueentakesKing: <Domdaniel> Right.Two games. Thanks.|
|Dec-16-13|| ||QueentakesKing: Now I know, Anand was knocked out.|
|Dec-16-13|| ||Domdaniel: There's too much <umwertung>.|
|Dec-17-13|| ||MOLLOYCHESS: guenther42's somewhat hysterical comment in full: MOLLYCHESS, you are a disgrace. Your "milfy" comment on top chess players' wives and SirRuthless's justification likewise disappoints. We generally have a classier group in the Chessgames.com community. But this is why women don't frequent this site. It is poisoned by these Neanderthals.|
You've labelled me a "disgrace"? A "Neanderthal"? "Poisoned" the site? Wow!
On the basis of one playful comment which basically was meant in the spirit of Anand's wife is attractive. Being a tad humourless and just a tad quick to pronounce judgement because you're on the internet perhaps? I have feminist friends (and I consider myself a feminist) and I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem with me saying a woman is attractive. I'd say if a guy was handsome too. It's not a big deal.
|Dec-17-13|| ||perfidious: <MOLLOYCHESS....I'd say if a guy was handsome too. It's not a big deal.>|
To some people, it still would be.
Especially to disgraceful, pernicious Neanderthals, don't you know.
|Dec-17-13|| ||Dionysius1: I enjoyed the story very much <MOLLOYCHESS>. I guess Milf feels a bit strong because I discovered the other evening what it stood for. But isn't it funny how these terms water themselves down? To call someone a berk was very rude indeed (rhyming slang " Berkeley Hunt/cxxx") - now hardly matters, and I suspect "whatever floats your boat" is a bit anatomical in origin. Heh ho for the great English language|
|Dec-21-13|| ||Jambow: <milfy babe> I thin my wife is one of dose.|
