Dec-30-13  paavoh: First to say Happy New Year on this page...
Dec-30-13  lakers4sho: It's 'Ma Qun'

PhilFeeley: This doesn't look as strong a field as it usually is.
Dec-31-13  kellmano: Great start for Gormally. I hope he wins it.
Dec-31-13  condition: me too, very tough to win against qun, 2 pawns up, endgame a horror - so took a draw
Jan-01-14  jakaiden: <lakers4sho: It's 'Ma Qun'> We already had this discussion.

4th Danzhou Tournament (2013)

Jan-02-14  Octavia: <jakaiden> thanks for the link! It makes sense to mention the family name first: There's 1 family name but many individuals. In Tournament tables you'll find the family name first anyway.

offramp: I can't imagine what it's been like on the seafront over the last week. I suppose the wind has been billowing out of the seats of their breeches.
Jan-03-14  Shams: Hawkins looks well on track to pick up his third GM norm! Very easy to root for a blue-collar autodidact. His book is great too.
Jan-04-14  virginmind: Two of the four-titled-players family (Foisor) are playing here. Good luck!

PhilFeeley: Not much commentary here, but some of the games have been very interesting. For instance, the one between Alexander Cherniaev and Qun Ma on right now is particularly exciting.

offramp: Hebden would have won outright if Premier League scoring had been used.

perfidious: It wasn't and Hebden didn't.
