Jun-13-16  stst: Both teams are not comprised of the top players - the aim for both is to develop young rising talents, esp. for the Chinese team.

CG===> better list not just the Year, also the Date, esp. when an event is in progress, so the reader knows at once which are the more recent games.

Jun-13-16  waustad: The Russians have 5 of the top 7 active players and Nadezhda Kosintseva is living in Dallas, so they really do have the top available except for Kosteniuk. I doubt that the inactive Tatiana Kosintseva ever plays for Russia again. The Chinese are all in the top 9, though Hou Yifan, Zhao Xue and Ju Wenjun would make it a more formidable team.
