European Club Cup (Women) (2016)

The 21st Women’s European Chess Club Cup is a 7-round Swiss team tournament taking place in Hotel Park, Novi Sad, Serbia from 6-12 November 2016. 14 clubs are taking part, with Cercle d'Echecs Monte-Carlo (Hou Yifan, Cramling, Skripchenko, Anna and Mariya Muzychuk) the top seeds.

Each match is played over four boards, with two points for a team win and one point for a draw. The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1. No draw offers before move 30. (1)

Nov-08-16  waustad: Many players are not present. Looking at Pamhagen, for example, their top board in Novi Sad is listed as #6 for their team in the Austrian Frauenbundesliga. I'm also surprised that the entire German FBL never seems to attend these, though it might be difficult since most of the top boards from Baden Baden are playing for Monaco.

Silver to defending champions NONA Batumi, bronze to Ugra.

Hou Yifan, in addition to team gold, also won the gold on the top board.
