The Champions Showdown took place in Saint Louis, USA 10-14 November 2016. Caruana, Nakamura, Anand and Topalov played 6 games at 60 minutes with a 5 second delay (see Champions Showdown (2016)), 6 rapid games at 15 minutes plus 3 seconds a move delay (November 13, won by Anand, this page) and 12 blitz games at 3 minutes and a 2 seconds a move delay. Viswanathan Anand won the event over three time controls with 15 points ahead of Nakamura on 14, Caruana on 11 and Topalov 8. (1)
