tuttifrutty: <perfidious: Incurable and annoying idiocy from <tolengoof>'s latest incarnation is more what I had in mind.>

Your mind???? Hmmmmm, the world would be a better place without it.

Dec-25-16  activechess55:

Agreed. These draw-jokes aren't funny. Because they're HALF-funny!

Dec-25-16  KabutoKoji: Why is there no mention of this tournament on the FIDE website? hmmmmmm
Dec-25-16  Jambow: <What a good reply dear <Jambow>, and now I see very well your point, indeed I appreciate that. You know, simply I'm just another friend of you>

Thank you and welcome friend, can't have enough of those.

Dec-26-16  chessalem: <Wesley to reach 3OOO >

That's just half of the journey- that day would be when he reach calvary.

he will be crucified- that's 3100...

only to rise again- that's the day when he'll top Stockfish, Komodo and Houdini in a tourney.

He's had a lot of time ..he's only 23..give him seven more years to fulfill his destiny.

Dec-26-16  chessalem: wow! nice avatar tuttifrutty!
Dec-26-16  frogbert: <perfidious>: in order for «rating inflation» to continue, the number of players in the rating pool need to continue increasing. Have you watched the number of 2700+ players the last 2-3 years?
Dec-26-16  chessalem: <Wesley to reach 3OOO ( or even 2900)>

https://ratings.fide.com/calculator...

Wesley needs to win 25 more games against players above 2750 ...

drawing against these players would only delay and stall but would not prevent the inevitable.

I agree, Wesley is just "feeling" how these players react to his engine like moves, soon he will make them his favorite snacks.

Dec-26-16  cream: <in order for «rating inflation» to continue, the number of players in the rating pool need to continue increasing. Have you watched the number of 2700+ players the last 2-3 years?>

There is no rating inflation.

Dec-26-16  frogbert: There has been notable <systemic> rating inflation, but much less than people using flawed methods have reported (reports that have been endlessly repeated by people who follow leaders instead of watching their parkin' meters).

Merry Christmas!

Dec-26-16  Clemens Scheitz: No inflation, little inflation, some inflation, lots of inflation,...take your pick, but a human reaching 3000 at the end of 2018 ...I don't think so.

Thanks, my avatar is symbolic to the great toktorook we all witnessed the expose' of a wannabe journalist aka coffee maker/xerox copy machine expert.

<Look out, all. During the next Holiday Present Hunt, we may be called upon to remember the moment when twenty-one equaled (22).>

Least I be mistaken, I remember the time when I wasn't the one who begged for lose change on his journey to spread moral intelligence....and quest for truth...

Don't let the cat starve to death...remember, there are humane societies in every exit on Highway 5 and 101. :-)

< frogbert: in order for «rating inflation» to continue, the number of players in the rating pool need to continue increasing. Have you watched the number of 2700+ players the last 2-3 years?>

Nope...I told you all along, there's no rating inflation.

Never mind what the others say. For me you are definitely in the upper 95% of the posters here. Not like the magniloquent but useless journalist.
