ChessHigherCat: <WorstPlayerEver: Hmmm... in Dutch we have a verb which -literally- means: to oldwhore lol>

Interesting, I really like the Dutch language. I just started a year ago because I wanted to learn a new language that wouldn't take forever (like Thai, for example) and that is related to other languages I know (unlike Thai, for example). What is the whole word? When I click on your link I'm redirected to "Privacy Statement" with a search form but I can't look up the word because all I can see of it is "ouweho"

<Sally Simpson> I've always suspected you of impersonating you and now you've finally confessed!

Aug-14-17  not not: Its shame UK gov and press can only switch comments under news and articles off or moderate them in advance, and threaten internet users with jail, in order to make sure british public dont say what they really think. It would be much better to tape people mouth down each local pub and introduce PC patrols.

Well, I only speak Dutch lol which is hard enough. Because maybe 1% of the Dutch people know how to use proper Dutch nowadays.

Appaz: <tpstar: <I remember they were personal attacks on posters> Wesley So and his career were not helped by posting Tipsy Star songs about drinking urine.>

Do you mean it was an obstacle for his career that you were attacked?

Do you believe your regular candid attacks on long time members of chessgames.com holds a higher standard?

I've never seen anyone but you listing up, regularly, in *details*, the topics what we are not allowed to talk about regarding Wesley So. In my eyes you are just a hypocrite.

Even issues long forgotten, like the "Kid" comment, you love to bring back.

I wonder what your real agenda is.

tpstar: Congratulations to Maxime Vachier-Lagrave who earned his smart academic education and then won the 2017 Sinquefield Cup thanks to his smart academic education. That was smart.

Time to write some letters!

chancho: Caruana won Sinquefield in style several years ago,and word on the street was that Carlsen's days as champ were numbered and what happened Psyche!

Maxime is playing outstanding, yes, but can he be this good in the candidates and the championship match vs Carlsen?

Hmmm... psyche!

Appaz: <chancho> Oh, this had nohing to do with Caruana or MVL. It's just another obscure candid attack by <tipsy>, caused by his lack of detection of satire and salted with his infantile "threats" of "I know who you are".

Yeah. His career has been downhill from there!

Appaz: There are probably no members on cg.com involved in as many different controversies as <tipsy>, but typical for such characters - they have no clue about the reason for this. There are always somebody else to blame.

john barleycorn: <chancho: Caruana won Sinquefield in style several years ago ...>

that is really a phenomenon.
After an outstanding tournament win the winner (not Carlsen) is promoted to the challenger status. Every number 2 in rating is regarded a challenger. Problem is that almost all of the top10 have been a number 2 at a certain time.

Despite what the rainbow posters write we have minimum of 9 challengers.

The next WCC is going to be hold as a simul.

perfidious: Caruana was anointed number one after that smashing win in this event several years ago--his ascent to that spot was regarded as a fait accompli, same as entering this event, a faction proclaimed the end of Carlsen's run at the top a done deal, as So might even overtake him in this version of the Sinquefield.

Still waiting, a few years on, for Caruana's 'inevitable' takeover; will So have to also stew in the juices of his admirers before staking his post at the summit of Mt Olympus?
