Capablanca Memorial (Elite) (2003)

The 38th Capablanca Memorial (Grupo Elite) was a 12-player round robin tournament held in Hotel Neptuno-Tritón, Havana, Cuba from May 6-18, 2003. Rest days: May 12 and 16. The Peruvian Julio Ernesto Granda Zuniga, who after a hiatus since 1998 had made a comeback late in 2002, finished clear first with 8/11.

The Premier 1 and Premier 2 single round robins were won by Neuris Delgado Ramirez and Jose Gonzalez Garcia, respectively. The Mixto round robin was won by Plinio Pazos Gambarrotti with 10/13.
