Tilburg Interpolis 1987

The 11th annual Interpolis International Chess Tournament held in Tilburg, The Netherlands was a category XV event. Eight grandmasters were invited to play in the double round robin. The participants were (in order of ELO): Andrei Sokolov (2635), Artur Yusupov (2635), Viktor Korchnoi (2630), Jan Timman (2630), Ljubomir Ljubojevic (2625), Predrag Nikolic (2620), Robert Huebner (2610), and Ulf Andersson (2600). Timman won over a near even field, asserting yet again his place as one of the West's best players. The final standings and crosstable are as follows:
