deep and sound
Compiled by computer chess guy
--*--

Many games, even at Grandmaster level, are decided by shallow tactics - a fairly simple move the opponent overlooked. But occasionally we see something more profound - a "deep" move that requires great foresight or intuition to play. And it is even more impressive if after close post-game examination it is sound in all variations. These games have "deep and sound" sacrifices or other key moves.
