101 games, 1919-1973 - Pachman: Meine Seine Besten Partien
|
The original and complete title in German is "Meine Seine Besten Partien und Meine Probleme." In the book matches decisive Pachman referred to Keres which concluded its fifth attempt in the last tournament of the candidates in double round-robin, and got second place for the fourth time. Pachman praised Keres citing Tartakower"The player
who plays best in a tournament never wins first. He finishes
second behind the guy with the most luck."
Curiosly, Pachman was 2nd in Havana 1963 and considered this his best tournament.
