 | | greatdane: < Stellar King: I just want to thank <ALL> of the users of chessgames.com and also <Chessgames.com> for making this site such a friendly, learning, awesome,(and the list goes on and on!!) experience. If there is a best chess website on the world THIS IS IT!!!!! what do you guys think??> Oh, couldn't agree more! Simply a STELLAR chess site (sorry!) I became member two years ago, and since then CG have become a daily source of joy. I have established a habit of ending the day with a glance of CG, at least GOD, tournaments and kibkitzers cafe. It's great fun, both from a learning and entertaining point of view. Just take the GOD to-day (Keeres-Bronstein). I would never have heard of it but for CG. And what a fight - you can almost see gun smoke rising from the board. And likewise with countless other GOD's. With the considerable benefit of other users helping you to understand what is going on. Simply great stuff. I would encourage all regular users to become Premium Members, not because of the added benefits, though they are great, but because you make a small contribution to make the continuation of this great site possible. |

| Nov-18-06 | | Strelz: Bah! I get the Bye for tomorrows 7th and last round game. Even though I end with 50% it will still harm my rating. Against ELO rated players I am -2 and against nationally rated players I am -1. |

| Nov-18-06 | | mahmoudkubba: Last Post & Kibitz for this night and earlier: ( I really thought it was better top post it on my private forum when I have one but work is work (B. is B. HaHaHa)(Also some really don't understand what we r all talking abt here, like many of us don't understand some other sites: Is that a metnioning to Babel problem(s)? and may be to Tower of Babel problem(s)) I have to point out and mention the following, it seems I is important for some place and/or time …etc situation(s) we knows nothing abt. Can any body tell me the right ways and correct ways and when it is the right thing to happen when the player of our side (the right side) should play for loosing? Is that theory holds true for some variables independent v. or following v. or other things? Really Really, feeling both fear that I might be on the wrong passage and sorry for those fools who have diseases in the spirit and soul of the hearts. Lol And Waw (Yes me now using the word phrase: Lol, HaHaHa). The definition for Lol chessically might be not known yet HaHaHa. Also Waw what abt both (Not yet defined for both (Waw and Lol) or (Lol and Waw) but the same or something HaHaHa. |

| Nov-18-06 | | pawn52: Hey guys, Im going back on what i said on the 14th...i cant live without chess. It's too much fun! I'm still trying to decide if i should try to get my parents to renew my premium account here or not though. I probably will but not sure yet...right now im looking at my bros laptop (he hasn't been treating it very well :-\) I might tell my dad about it and probably take ownership of it, get a key replaced, and get a CD DVD drive in there so i can use it for chess stuff. At least it'll have a use (my bro hasn't used it since we moved here) So, what all did i miss in my 5 going on 6 day absense |

 | | WannaBe: <soughzin> From the information that was posted and gathered, the web-site is down, but you can access and play games with BabasChess and other interfaces. (But no new registration, or other stuff.) |

 | | ahmadov: Folks, I am compiling a list of games with GM blunders (no very good thing for some GMs, indeed), so could you help me find the most amazing GM games with blunders. I would be greatful to you if you post the games or the links to those games on my forum. Thanks beforehand! |

 | | Richard Taylor: <Nov-18-06 Maria Nikolova: Ooooops! I'm sorry! I meaned 43.Qf8# 1-0> The correct* English here is "I meant"
*(Given that we accept we allow certain conventions -and hat theidea of "correct English or a correct language is is dubius - I mean - it is the convention - BBC English I suppose - of course there is nothing inherently "wrong" with "I meaned" ... it is an irregular verb so the convention is to say "I learned " but not "I meaned" although "I learnt" is also used. So it is "incorect" if we accept we can define anything in language as incorrect!!) |

| Nov-19-06 | | Chess Classics: <jamesmaskell> Sorta, but I'd prefer the old style, and make the champ defend his title every 3 years, etc. Regards,

 |
| Nov-19-06 | | soughzin: I like the idea of the candidates matches but then to throw them in a tournament I don't understand. How about taking those 3 already qualified players and put them in the matches. Add Topalov this is a no brainer. Then add 12 players besides Kramnik who deserves to go 1 on 1 with the winner since he's the champ. How silly would it be for Kramnik to go+4, finish 2nd in an 8 man tournament and lose your title because of it? I know it can't happen now since players have already qualified etc but this current system is ridiculous in my opinion |
