kill msg Cornocopian: CHESS CHAMP User: Chess Champ
u can check his ideas on new castle and much more, in
part thanx to him Fischer was released faster from
jail in Japan last year... to all those who supported
this noble effort, it was noble of you and it was as
it should have been, imagine, Fischer in american
jail, he would go completelly berserk.(nice movie with
john candy too) I am sure all of you remember the late
(on this site) chess champ. I would like to remind
everybody, I do not know what names, that it was him
who brought many members here, the idea of search
engine, it was his, many other ideas including
pictures, that is aviators and much more, he never
received any thanks at all and decided to move on, too
bad this site could have benefited a lot. Not only
with search engine (to find posts) but much much more
of course, i can not remember what else he did, but I
am sure there were many ideas chessgames used. But
never acknowledged, who knows if this will see the day
of light as well. As far as Israel goes, if you go
back to February chat, you will realize that he was
right,if Sharon party wins again, his dog, that is
Olmert/Omert will continue the tragedy, so far Israel
has implicated itself into huge humanitarian crisis
and terrible war crimes, they say saddam and milosevic
are bad and their trials were predetermined, well at
least milosevic showed them the finger and had the
last laugh. Those trials are nothing but circus acts.
Imagine, assuming saddam did kill 150 people who
wanted to kill him, during war in times of treason
that is allowed, and what's better 150 people or 150
000 in retaliation by his sons, now they have pure
civil war there and no end in site for next 5 years,
champ said it. As a member of our club, we mostly talk
about chess and things in the world. And as far and
the Pope John Paul 2 goes, the day is July 2, as he
should have died in 2005, the problem in the church is
persecution... http://geocities.com/chesschampforu...
you will read
some very interesting stories, about
some real heroes...mother theresa was not the only one
who worked with poor and dying, there are many more
like her, but not as powerful or popular... Venerable
Solanus was into charitable thing as wel. He is first
american to be named venerable. This site I am sure
will go on for some time, the words chess champ
contributed and ideas should forever live on.

Is it possible to construct a pure mate (i.e. every square is unavailable to the king because of one and only reason) with 9 (own, mating)) pieces? the position must be legal. If it is impossible, what is the highest number?> <I have no idea alexmagnus but I do know one thing ... I GOT A MATE IN 9 PUZZLE EVERYBODY CAN TRY!!! WHITE TO PLAY AND MATE IN 9!!!!

| Nov-28-06 | | GeauxCool: Hi to all!
I need help with a position. I played it out for a draw, but I want to know if it was winning for White. In the picture, Black has just attacked the rook with his king. click for larger view |

 | | Maatalkko: <GeauxCool> It looks winning, play 1. Rg5 Ne4 2. Rh5 and I don't see how Black can stop the h-pawn. |
 |
Nov-28-06
 | | Eyal: <Maatalkko> 1.Rg5?? Ne4+ and black wins. The right place for the rook is 1.Rc1 (preventing Bc2) and wins - black can't accomplish anything with knight maneuvers here (e.g., Ne2 2.Rc8). |

 | | Octavia: <Does anyone know about a worse blunder by a world champion?> How can there be a worse blunder than overlooking a # in 1 on a near empty board? That spoiled my interest in the match & I don't care about the other games at all. It's unbelievable. |
 |
| Nov-29-06 | | LuckyBlunder: <Octavia> Although it was a "disaster" to blunder that way, errors happen. I don't think that a single error can spoil the interests on the whole match. I'm looking forward to watch the next games and see if Kramnik can win against Fritz (which has not displayed an impressive performance so far). |

 | | Richard Taylor: <Stellar King> You are a wonderful young man - keep the great work up. I am fascinated by everything you say! I solved the mate in 19 in 4 minutes - I can do stuff BTW....all in my head!! |

Don't see why it should put anyone off a chess match. Kramnik's style is a bit dull mind you. |

 |
| Nov-29-06 | | 1R4N: French or Caro-Kann
i don not know what to play.
pls help |
 |
| Nov-29-06 | | Stevens: <1R4N> which do you prefer? if you are a Karpov fan, he played the Kann a lot, so there are a lot of ideas there. It really depends on how you play. Look at the common middlegame positions that arise and see which one you are most comfortable with. By the way, why are you chosing between just these two? |
 |
| Nov-29-06 | | 1R4N: thx stevens. i am chosing between these two openings, because i do not want to learn so many variations for example sizilian. i think the Kann is ok. i want to play it. but i am only 15 years old if i have not good results with Kann i can chose another opening. |
 |
| Nov-29-06 | | 1R4N: Steven do you want play a game against me? my e-mail: ruzbeh91@yahoo.de |
 |
| Nov-29-06 | | Stevens: <1R4N> sure, i have an account at gameknot or redhotpawn if you are there? i don't have any non correspondence accounts though as i can't find a decent one to use at work. |
 |
| Nov-29-06 | | 1R4N: lets play "e-mail chess" everyday one move or something like that |
