harrylime: Watched a movie the other night.. 'Man Without a Star' .. Kirk Douglas and Claire Trevor.. Loved it. Kirk looked pretty cool in it and sure, there were a few old 'western' cliches and the ending was naff, but I still loved it. King Vidor directed it very well .

Does anyone know who Stan Lee was playing chess against at the end of the Avenger's movie?

He looked familiar, but I couldn't place the face.

TY in advance!

<King Death> I'd rather play with Elly May Clampett. Now that would be a mighty fine day, ya hear?

May-10-12  King Death: <td> She'd be a hot ticket for sure after you took care of the business end of things and made your dough off Jethro.
May-10-12  LIFE Master AJ: Elly May was fine, was she not?

May-10-12  LIFE Master AJ: RE: M. Finan.

Mark Twain once said - and this is apropos here - "The more I read about lawyers, the more inclined I am to be in favor of hanging!"

Or ... ... ...

"With friends like that, who needs enemies?"

Those who resort to quoting old Samuel are almost invariably vain as **** and always in the wrong.

May-10-12  voratco: Actually I won 4 but lost 1, the guy who beat me, cheated. huhuhuhu, anybody care to drop a box of napkins?
May-10-12  Jim Bartle: "Those who resort to quoting old Samuel are almost invariably vain as **** and always in the wrong."

Commenting on the author of the Mormon Bible: "Whenever he found his speech growing too modern–which was about every sentence or two–he ladled in a few such Scriptural phrases as ‘exceeding sore,’ ‘and it came to pass,’ etc., and made things satisfactory again. ‘And it came to pass’ was his pet. If he had left that out, his Bible would have been only a pamphlet.”

If after 1. Rxb7 Qxb7 2. e7+ Rd5, play could then go: 3.Rb3 Qa8 4. Rb6 Kh8 5. Bxg7+ Kxg7 6. f6+ Kh8 7. Qf1 Qa7 8. Re6 Rf5 9. Qf5 and Black is doomed.
