| Jun-01-12 | | The Big Lebowski: <HeMateMe> Yeah that list needs some revisionism. Scratch off Madonna, Kim Cattrall, Pamela Anderson, too old. Also delete Paris Hilton, too much mileage. Add, even though she's not young anymore Jennifer Anniston who's still a babe! Prettiest goes to Charlize Theron who has a few new movies coming out. Best body Scarlett Johansson and cutest smile is a tie between Kate Bosworth and Kate Hudson. :>) |

 | | waustad: <wp>you found a Buddy Holly tune I didn't know! I was somewhat surprized tat it was stereo, since I think of older stuff as monaural. of course i usually think of older stuff as Chaliapin or Gigli or such, so that is usually much older. |

 | | PhilFeeley: Yes, I don't know why it's so hard to find French tournaments. They don't seem to be on Chess-results.com very often. I finally found the games here: http://www.echecs.asso.fr/Visualise... Carlsen and Ivanchuk are listed on a team, but they haven't played yet. |

That's alright <HeMateMe>, we live in an open society. When is your coming out party? :) |

 | | PhilFeeley: I don't understand the French (maybe nobody does!). I rarely can find their tournaments online. Chess-results has very few listings and not up to date. Fortunately Mark Weeks keeps track of them and their games often show up in his data. But there's rarely advanced notice of their tournaments. Chessbomb has the games, but only on the day it started. The French Federation website is horrible. Oh well. Take what you can get I guess. |

 | | harrylime: <Wayne Proudlove: "Bonnie and Clyde"
Warren Beatty answers the question where the Barrow gang are going with "We ain't headed to nowhere, we just runnin' from." They're not in it for the money nor the sex; they're genuine criminals but folk heroes, the first celebrities. They started as nobodies, grabbed their chance to make a name for themselves and met the consequences. Originals, one assumes the real nobodies are hapless B&C imitators; meandering, minus the panache, making small gains but ultimately and ironically suffering a fate worse than Bonnie and Clyde's tragic end.> Clyde went into a notoriuos prison in Texas an innocent kid, and came out a killer with nothing to lose. So much for the US prison system in the 20's lol |

 | | harrylime: For <Mazza> .. Steve McQueen is the guy who rode motorbikes into barbed wire and fast cars into anything and stole every scene he was in and stood up against Mexican bandits and police corruption and spent days on end in a cell throwing a baseball against a concrete wall .. Robert Redford is the guy who wanted to be Steve McQueen. |
 |
| Jun-02-12 | | Jack Bauer: Just got back from a 2 week vacation on Cape Cod. I continue to stack and clean my weapons while my old lady catches up on Dancing With The Stars. "Babe, get off your dead ass and mix me another drink!" Just another Pleasant Valley Saturday. |

no way, I love Bob Redford. Burdened with a handsome face yet he makes all these intelligent movies. |

Redford lacked something which Steve had ..
Still .. In 'All The Presidents Men' and 'Butch Cassidy.. ' he was cool ... |

 | | HeMateMe: <Harry U.K.> What do you think of the move in England to rename Big Ben "Queens Tower", to honor Queen Elizabeth? (Or Elizabeth Tower, I forget the details). I can't think of anything stupider. But the voting seems to be running about 50/50. |
