And why o why can you never see anyone elses points of view or opinions, and It's always the actors, chess player, singer, women, etc that YOU like, are always the 'Greatest'?? If it isn't Bobby bloody Fischer, It's Mitchum or McQueen, or someone else, and they always HAVE to be the greatest in their respective fields.. Other's opinion's are null and void! Have your favourites mate, but listen to other people too? I arne't even gonna comment on what you posted on the Fischer page because I do like you, but you're getting a bit ridiculous with all this blind hero worship now.. | Jun-03-12 | | drnooo: occasionally and no doubt more than I should, I will check in here: Mitchum said of Mc Queen, "he doesn't bring much to the party." In a way he was right. Mc Queen however was great in The Getaway, Pretty good in Bullitt, and just right in Junior Bonner.Those three alone he outshone almost anyone on the current scene. Odd that so fine, brilliant an actor as Mitchum could not see that he had to occasionally give the nod to McQueen. McQueen does stuff in the Getaway that nobody could have even come close to. And he and Robert Preston in Junior Bonner are a perfect fit. |
