 | | thegoodanarchist: Well, what is going on here today? Suddenly I cannot see the games! I checked the firefox add ons manager and my java plug in is still enabled. I tried switching to misty beach and... nothing. Then I opened my safari browser and the games aren't visible there either. Haven't changed any settings since last log in. CG what is up?? |

1. When was the last time you were able to see games? 2. On the home page, there is a warning about latest java update, did you try that. 3. Does IE work? Chrome? |

I was here a few days ago, no problems. But I found the issue. I went to my add-ons manager page in Firefox and clicked the link to check if my plug-ins were up to date. Firefox told me that Apple disabled my java<!!!!>, so I had to go to the apple site, download the latest java update, install that, and then go into Safari (their browser) and set my preferences. It took me 45 minutes to figure it all out - the hard part was finding what I need. Anyway, long story short my java is working again and I can see the games. It was not a cg.com issue, but an apple.com issue. |

 | | HeMateMe: <Cop Rock> has <Plan Nine From Outer Space> status. Various lists have it in the top ten of worst television shows, ever. That alone makes it worth a look, perhaps on utube. |

Then why is it called the Ruy Lopez??! |
 |
Jul-10-12
 | | WannaBe: Because calling it The Bobby Fischer just doesn't sound right. |

 | | harrylime: <PaulLovric>Red River and Stagecoach stand out tho.. Both would make my top ten movies of all time.> What about the Searchers: De Niro's favorite film and my favorite John Wayne film.> I seriously just don't get 'The Searchers' .. Don't understand all the kudos it gets as a movie. The portrayal of American Indians in the movie is pretty dated and pretty embarrassing TBH.. I hope Ford would agree with this now. |

Stagecoach
Red River
Rio Grande
Rio Bravo
Fort Apache
Wayne at some time in the late fifties early sixties became bigger than cinema. Just too big. |

| Jul-10-12 | | Travis Bickle: Hey Harry, what about John Wayne flicks The Cowboys, True Grit and The Shootist!? |
 |
Jul-10-12
 | | harrylime: Trav I think Wayne's earlier stuff is better. Especially his collaborations with Ford. Having said that not seen 'The shootist' or The Cowboys' .. So ... |
 |
| Jul-10-12 | | uscfratingmybyear: Never cared for John Wayne the actor and then coupling that with his draft dodging, racism, and white superiority views (based on his interview for Playboy) make this cowboy all hat and no cattle and a total turnoff. John Ford learned what this phony was made of and made the set difficult for blowhard Marion Morrison after WWII. Jeez, even his name is phony. |
